Way to use the Muse #3: Feeling like it took forever to get to the end of February? Need to freshen up your home for spring? We can research interior designers, house cleaners, eavestrough cleaners and even painters to help your home sparkle!
Make the decision to truly stop sweating the small stuff and delegate some of the simpler tasks that don’t require your time and care. Help others help you.
Once you’ve decided that it’s okay to ask, it’s important to remember that the people you’re asking for help are probably just as busy as you are, and will be taking time out of their to-do list in order to assist you. Follow the ABCs (or in this case, the PQRS) of asking for help:
Prepare. Make sure that the person who is helping you has all of the information they’ll need to do a good job. For example, if you have an item on hold at a store and you’ve asked someone to pick it up for you, ensure that you’ve given them the store name and address, the item’s name and price, and the name you’ve got it on hold under. This will avoid any confusion and will enable them to assist you smoothly.
Queue. Be sure that you’re leaving enough time for the person to properly prepare to assist you. They might need to rearrange a schedule, delay a project or even make arrangements with third parties in order to fully assist you.
Return the favour. If you consistently offer to reciprocate, your friends and contacts will be more inclined to help you again in the future.
Say thank you. Whether it’s the words, a note or a small gift, when you acknowledge the efforts that have been made to assist you, it reminds others that their assistance is valued and appreciated.

Way to Use the Muse #2: As we near the end of January, Valentine’s Day swiftly approaches. Why not let us help plan a romantic getaway or find a great restaurant? We can also purchase and deliver the perfect gift for that special someone. If you haven’t yet found your one and only, we can help research clubs, activities and even dating services to help you get the ball rolling.
Thirsty Muse’s Film Debut!
We’re pleased to announce that our first video is finished. We’ve posted it in the video section of our website – please have a look and tell us what you think!
The Path to Leading a Simplified Life
According to Leo Barbauta at Zen Habits, doing less can help you get more out of life! He says that by buying less, micro-managing less, planning less and complaining or judging less, that great weight will start to lift off your shoulders and you’ll feel more content and at peace with your life. Of course, his article is far more extensive than that, so we encourage you to go and give it a read!
In support of doing less, let us propose a major shift in the way you think about spending your time. Do you really need to pick up groceries, dry cleaning and your new license plate stickers yourself? Do you really need to call around to find the best price on your new car or television set yourself? What about locating and checking references for house cleaners, contractors or child care providers? Let Thirsty Muse take care of all this and more, so that you can get back to what’s really important.

Way to Use the Muse #1: Let us pre-screen the caterers, entertainment and potential venues for your wedding or anniversary party!
We’d like to mark the launch of our new blog with a challenge to all of you out there in the interweb. We want to collect feedback from current and potential members but we’re not sure if our current methods are as successful as they could be.
Right now, we have an automated system set up that emails a feedback form to the member every time we close a request. Is this effective, or do you think there’s another (better) way? We’ve set up this blog as a test for the social media platform, but are there any other neat ways of finding out what people think?
